This very unique vintage suit is made up of a fine silk weave in taupe and black plaid that also has a little chevron weave to it. It features a hidden closing in the slightly wrapped front. It has short cuffed raglan sleeves, slight shoulder pads, no collar, and a faux breast pocket. It has 10 darts in the front bodice for an amazing fit. From the waist to the bottom of the jacket is a peplum that because of the darts stands out. The back is all one piece including sleeves and is straight. It's lined in tissue silk.

The label is Blums-Vogue Chicago.

The pencil skirt is straight and is gathered at the front slides slightly to the set in the waistband and has a button closure with metal zipper (Oonmatio), unlined and has a full slit in the back because it's tight at the knees. Because of the very large selvages and the way this is made you can tell it is couture.
